FAQ
Good to know.
Is Cinemak free?
Yes — Cinemak is free to download and use. It's an open project, and the source code lives on GitHub.
Which macOS version do I need?
macOS 12.3 (Monterey) or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel. Cinemak is built on ScreenCaptureKit, which Apple introduced in macOS 12.3.
What permissions does it ask for?
Two. Screen Recording, to capture your display, and Accessibility, to track the cursor and clicks. macOS prompts you on first launch — both are managed in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
What can I export?
MP4 video at up to 60fps, rendered natively with Metal. Your zoom keyframes, cursor styling, background and webcam layout are all applied during export.
